Children’s National at Samuel Kelsey – Washington, DC

Access Demolition was awarded the opportunity to work inside Samuel Kelsey getting it ready for Children’s National.  Our scope of work consisted of Demolition & Lead & Asbestos Abatement.  

Demolition:

• Mobilize manpower & equipment
• Demo & remove walls, counter tops, cabinets, plywood work tables, stud wall, drywall & flooring mastic
• Demo & remove duct work & mechanical equipment
• Provide dumpster for waste & remove all debris generated at site

Asbestos Abatement:

• Submit notification to DOEE & EPA for removal of asbestos containing material
• Provide asbestos abatement labor 
• Provide equipment & material for asbestos abatement 
• Setup containment per EPA & OSHA regulations & guidelines for the disturbance of asbestos containment material
• Abate & remove hazardous material identified in Axiom Report 
  • 9″x 9″ floor tile 
  • Pipe fitting & air cell insulation
  • Black sealant on duct at entry to wall
•  Remove & dispose of asbestos debris

Lead Abatement:

• Submit notifications to DOEE for removal of asbestos containing material
• Provide lead abatement labor
• Provide equipment & material lead abatement via bead blast
• Setup containment per EPA & OSHA regulations & guidelines for the disturbance of asbestos containment material 
• Abate & remove hazardous material identified in Axiom Report
  • Lead base paint throughout
  • Plaster ceiling where indicated 
  • Drywall & plaster to structural around columns
• Remove & dispose of asbestos debris
