Access Demolition & the Howard Community College Scholarship Program
Since 2014, Access Contracting Group has participated in Howard Community College’s scholarship program. Our scholarship does not have a requirement that the students must be studying the construction field, rather that they demonstrate potential growth, improving their grades & are trying their best to reach their goals.
Twelve hand picked students were chosen to receive our scholarship this year. We understand that many students have the drive to succeed, but have to bear the financial burden of loans or test prep. Lifting this burden, allows the focus to be completely on the student’s studies. Some students are now able to attend school loan free. Howard Community College has a program known as Vino Scholastico that Access Demolition Contracting participates in.
“Raise a Glass, Raise a Scholarship. 100% of the net profit from Vino Scholastico goes to support college programs and students in need. Without aid, many students would be unable to afford to pursue their education. In 2018, 50% of HCC students received some form of financial support. The Howard Community College Educational Foundation provides funds for scholarships, grants, and programs that benefit college students in a variety of ways.”

Access Contracting Group also supports the Haloti Ngata Family Foundation, The HNFF has a similar goal: To improve the lives of others through love & strength. The foundation raises money for high school students to receive the test prep they need to get into a university to achieve their goals. AT this years annual customer appreciation crab feast we hosted, we gave a few of our top customers the opportunity to donate to the HNFF with us and we raised over $15,000!
